How Crisis Team Works
The Crisis Team is staffed by licensed multidiscipinary professionals. These include RN's, MFCC's and LCSW's, experienced in working with managed care companies and accessing community resources, providing psychological assessments and crisis intervention.

Crisis Team clinicians are dispatched by the College Hospital phone counselors when a request for service is received. During a face-to-face Interview, the Crisis Team clinician determines the nature and severity of the problem and identifies the support services needed. The majority of clients assessed by the Crisis Team can be effectively treated by private or community-based outpatient services.

There are medical parameters required for all psychiatric admissions.
