Crisis Team History
The Crisis Team is a mobile psychiatric assessment service created to serve the community's needs.

Conceptualized in 1983, the College Hospital Crisis Team has been operational since January, 1984 at College Hospital Cerritos and since 1989 at College Hospital Costa Mesa.

Originally, the Crisis Team at Cerritos served three hospitals. It was built into an efficient service covering most of the hospitals, police departments, schools, medical units, residential care facilities, clinics and treatment facilities within a 30 mile radius of College Hospital Cerritos.

Six years later, the Crisis Team was established at College Hospital Costa Mesa, providing more effective service to our Orange County hospitals and police departments.

By providing expedient and excellent service, the College Hospital Costa Mesa Crisis Team has become the preferred team in both Los Angeles and Orange County.
