Program Description
Inpatient crisis intervention model, focusing on symptom relief and
management. Treatment provides the opportunity for the patient to
participate in a program most appropriate for reaching identifiable,
individual goals. An interdisciplinary team including an internal medicine physician, addresses the patient's multidimensional
needs from different therapeutic perspectives. A comprehensive evaluation
by a medical doctor includes a complete physical exam, review of all lab
work and x-rays and consultation on the treatment of any physical health
problems during the course of the patient's stay. Family Education helps
the family understand the patient's needs. 7 days a week assessment and
treatment planning ensures optimum usage of hospital stay. Discharge planning
services begin at time of admission to insure continuum of care.
