Pediatric Program

Who would benefit from this program?
Children ages 2-12 years old who are:

Suicidal or Homicidal

Defiant of Authority Figures

Sexually or Physically Abused

Aggressive

Involved with Drugs

Hyperactive

Self-Abusive

Dangerous to Peers

Severely Depressed or Withdrawn

Conduct Disorders

Psychotic Behaviors

Runaways or Juvenile Delinquents


Program Description
Distinct 21-bed program assures that children will interact with appropriate peer groups and will be involved with age-appropriate activities.

Direct focus on crisis intervention and stabilization allows the children to return home or placement with day treatment or outpatient counseling as quickly as possible.

Varied therapeutic approach assures all possible aspects of the children's disorder are addressed.

The program, offered 7 days a week, provides daily intensive treatment for the duration of the patient's stay.

Family participation to enable all members to develop more effective ways of interacting and communicating.

Discharge planning groups held three times a week to prepare patient for discharge.

Multifamily/parenting groups four nights a week to empower parents to gain control of home settings.

Aftercare program offered free of cost for one year, assists in transition and reduces chance of relapse.
